About the artist

Tania Tanti is a contemporary artist and quilter whose practice crosses between traditional textile processes and contemporary art. Working with both hand and machine stitching alongside painting, she approaches quilting as a form of visual storytelling, exploring ideas of memory, identity, labour and time. Her practice considers the space between craft and fine art and the ways textile traditions can be reimagined within a contemporary gallery setting.
