Open Studio with Pinky Wittingslow

Open Studio with Pinky Wittingslow

Pinky Wittingslow is Hyphen's Artist in Residence in the Creative Studio from January 10 to April 10, 2022.

Pinky is a potter, woodworker, seamstress, spinner, painter and engineer.  Having grown up in the bush, Pinky has always been heavily influenced by nature, the preservation of it and how we can use natural materials sustainably. Pinky’s work further investigates this deep tie to our natural environment and connection to each other as humans through historical research into the art practices of our distant ancestors.  Pinky works with a broad range of materials with environmental sustainability always in mind.

Meet Pinky and explore her art and art-making techniques during this Open Studio.

Hyphen’s Creative Studio residency offers an exciting space for artists, designers and other creatives to develop their work in a purpose-built artist’s studio within Hyphen - Wodonga Library Gallery. Hyphen artists in residence have unique opportunities to share knowledge and skills, be inspired and connect with the community in a vibrant cultural centre. This is the second residency in the creative studio program.
