A ticket will not be provided to attend the event. Your details will be on a list on the day.

Kintsugi Australia comes to Hyphen with an exclusive workshop learning the art of Kintsugi.

Kintsugi is the unique and traditional Japanese art of repairing broken, chipped and cracked pottery using lacquer and gold.

An item repaired shows the cracks that remain, showing its history and telling a story. Repairing the cracks is a healing process for both the cherished goods but also our mind and body.

Explore the “beauty of imperfection” and the philosophy behind the ancient craft of Kintsugi. Your facilitators Jun and Hitomi will guide you through the mindful process of how to repair an item using traditional techniques.

This class is not recommended for people who are pregnant or those who are sensitive to chemicals.

Suitable for people 18 years and over.
